What is Freemasonry?

Freemasonry is one of the worlds oldest fraternal organisations and in 2017 celebrated 300 years with some amazing tercentenary events. The roots of Freemasonry are founded in the traditions of medieval stonemasons who built cathedrals and castles across the country. This history forms the basis of our rituals today.

The United Grand Lodge of England have created the following booklet to help you find more information explaining what Freemasonry is all about.
